Happy 2nd Birthday www.crazymalc.co.nz!

5th August 2007

Gonna walk down that dirt road, until my eyes begin to bleed
Gonna walk down that dirt road, until my eyes begin to bleed
'Til there's nothing left to see,
'Til the chains have been shattered and I've been freed.

Bob Dylan - Dirt Road Blues

It's been exactly two years since I made my very first entry on www.crazymalc.co.nz.  Yay!

Happy 2nd birthday www.crazymalc.co.nz!

Favorite Emails
I receive a lot of emails about what I write about and do.  Here are some of my favorites.

The following email is one of my all time favorites:

It has been good reading your site, because a) now I know I wasn’t crazy for leaving Ashburn [..] And b) you have been to dark places, and yet now you are doing the kind of things I’ve dreamed of doing. That gives me some hope.

The next email was in response to my experience with CBW in Ghana.  It feels good that I stopped someone volunteering with a very corrupt organisation.

I must say that I have enjoyed reading your blog! I have to tell you that when I was doing my research for which program/country I want to volunteer in, your recount of Buduburam, Semeh Roberts and the like, may have saved me. I had read some things that hinted at what was really going in other people's blogs. Gladly, you were more explicit haha.

The next email was in response to this article.

A wonderfully thoughtful and thought provoking piece, Malcolm. You have nailed the gulf of understanding between the perception of atheistic nihilism of the religiously devout, and the reality of godlessness.

And the next one just makes me feel cool.

I'm really in awe about the journey you're on.  Quite literally - I DON'T HAVE THE GUTS to do what you're doing.

Celebrating with a big announcement

And what might I do to celebrate the 2nd anniversary of www.crazymalc.co.nz? How about announcing something big.  How big?  This big.
