What's next Crazymalc?
11th September 2006
As much as I hate having plans about my future, something deep within me
insists that I should. I made
plans while I was in the Philippines which - more or less - went
according to plan.
My plans after Africa are starting to take shape. They are:
- Return to New Zealand on or about the 30th of January.
- Spend a week at the very idyllic Pahia in the north of New
Zealand with my parents at a very flash holiday resort.
- Spend two months in a bum around job.
I'd be more than happy to move boxes around for two months in New
Zealand. Just can't be stuffed getting sucked back into the IT
industry.
- Fly to the Philippines on about the 1st of April
- Spend two or so weeks in the Philippines catching up with friends
and attending the graduation ceremony at Pulao Elementary School.
Let the tongues commence wagging ... now!
- Fly to either South Korea or Taiwan (if Meran
has her way...) and teach English for a year or so.
I'll have no money after Africa so I am going to have to do
something to earn some.
I plan to use my first lot of wages for: a new laptop, a digital SLR
camera and (possibly) a new i-POD. The rest will go towards
saving for more volunteering.
That's as far as I can get. I suspect I'll end up doing a
longer commitment of about two years or so with someone like VSA
(Volunteers Services Abroad).
As always, keep an eye on www.crazymalc.co.nz
to see what happens.
